S.M.A.R.T.Y.S. JFLL!

The SMARTYS (SMART Younger Siblings) are our JFLL Team and we're really proud of them. The SMARTYS are Nick Kuehn, Anne Peltier, Kelsey Bittel, Maigh Attre, and Viraj Attre. Their coaches are Linda Kuehn and Mallika Winsor. This is their story.

"JFLL is geared to children aged 6 to 9 years old and utilizes a modified framework of FIRST LEGO League. Teams of up to 6 children and an adult mentor receive a mini challenge, which is based on the FLL annual research project. They will design a model depicting an aspect of this year's 'Nano Quest' Challenge…JFLL introduces children to the concepts of teamwork and basic design skills, creating an initial interest and hands-on approach to science and technology." This year the task assigned was to pick an object and built a model using LEGO to represent it at three different scales (for example normal, micro and nano).
