SMART Team Chills at the Winter Festival
We'd like to thank the Stamford Museum and Nature Center for allowing us to be a featured attraction at their annual Winter Festival. We had a room all to ourselves where anyone could come to see our robot, presentation, and booth demonstrations. They were able to learn all about FLL. We hope there will be more kids and teams next year. It was a great experience and really helped spread awareness in our community Our Junior FLL team, the SMARTYS, were also there. It was cool to watch them as they presented their Expo creature, habitat and underwater vehicle for the first time. With their JFLL Expo fast approaching we wish them luck and will be at their side. We presented our research presentation and robot demonstration 4 times during the day to an average audience of about 30 kids and adults. The kids really like the robot demos. We even gave them a chance to run the robot themselves! The adults were very impressed by our research presentation and asked lots of good questions. When we were demonstrating our robot or presentation, we ran our booth and raised awareness about the Oceans. And also, raised some money to help our team get to the FLL World Festival in Atlanta Georgia. The Stamford Museum and Nature Center enjoyed having us so much, they've invited us back to present at their Maple Sugar Sunday event March.
